Army veteran killed in Tennessee truck accident

An army sergeant who served many duty tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan died in an accident over a recent weekend in October. The fatal Tennessee truck accident ended the life of a person called a hero by his best friends. The accident happened shortly after midday on a Saturday.

At the time of the accident, the man was traveling home in a pickup truck that was pulling a U-Haul trailer. Just before the accident, he was traveling in a northerly direction, as was the other vehicle involved in the crash. He pulled over onto the side of the road, where he was struck by a tractor-trailer which had moved onto the road’s shoulder.

The impact of the crash was so fierce that the trailer was detached from its cab, and the pickup truck was pushed completely across the lane and into the middle of the road. Both the big rig and the pickup truck started burning. It is reported that the soldier was declared dead at the accident scene, even though he was dragged from the burning wreck.

Once the investigation into the Tennessee accident has been completed, the details of the crash should be well documented. The legal estate of the deceased victim may choose to file a wrongful death claim against the truck driver. Successfully litigated civil claims typically provide for the reimbursement of any related financial losses. Monetary damages awarded from a successful claim could help injured victims, including the surviving families of deceased victims, better cope with the unexpected expenses arising from a truck accident.
